How Our Approach To ITSM Is Failing Our Clients Big Time
11/30/2019 7:31 p.m.
But through the innovation, the new practices, the shiny new toys, algorithms, programs, and tools; we lost sight of the fact that while business demand for tech is growing (soaring even), they’re less apt to know what they need or how it benefits them. In much the same way in which parcel carriers are looking at their service as a complete offering; from the point of sale to the delivery, IT needs to follow suit. If we don’t close the gap and start connecting the tangible needs of our clients with our ability to get there, we’ll keep playing the “we just provide the service” game.

DevOps Security Is As Disruptive As It Is Uncomfortable
10/11/2019 8:02 a.m.
DevOps, in basic terms, is a combination of people and processes that includes the infiltration of software engineering tactics, skills, patterns, etc into the operations of the application into the production environment. DevOps security starts with asking the question “do I really need them in the first place?” Just to be clear: we’re not advocating an anarcho-tech landscape where nothing matters and nothing is important. It’s more about how all of those disciplines have historically split into these silos and we’ve allowed it do so where we can’t make changes fast enough for business anymore.
